These Terms of Use (“Terms”) govern your use of the Get RapidShield mobile application (“App”), developed and owned by Rapid Emergency System (“we,” “us,” or “our”). By downloading, accessing, or using the App, you agree to be bound by these Terms. If you do not agree, please do not use the App.
1. Purpose of the App
Get RapidShield is a mobile application that connects users to emergency services such as:
Real-time security response
Medical emergency dispatch (ambulance)
Tow vehicle assistance
E-security checks for meeting strangers
GPS-based SOS alert system (EmeriQ device integration)
The App is intended for personal safety and emergency response use and not for misuse or false alerts.
2. Eligibility
You must be at least 18 years old to use this App. If you are using the App on behalf of a minor or dependent, you are responsible for their use and must ensure compliance with these Terms.
3. User Responsibilities
By using this App, you agree to:
Provide accurate personal and emergency contact information.
Use the SOS and emergency features only when necessary.
Not impersonate another person or provide false data.
Pay any required subscription or service fees (if applicable).
Keep your login credentials confidential.
Misuse of the App, including false alerts or tampering, may result in termination of access and/or legal action.
4. Subscription & Fees
Some services within the App (e.g., response activation, EmeriQ device support) may require a paid subscription or service fee. Payment terms and conditions will be clearly outlined within the App or during onboarding.
Failure to maintain a valid subscription may result in limited or suspended access to emergency features.
5. Emergency Limitations
While we aim to provide timely and effective emergency support, we do not guarantee:
Immediate response in all locations or situations.
Outcomes resulting from third-party responders or network failures.
Continuous availability of all services in areas not yet covered.
The App should not replace contacting national emergency numbers (e.g., 112 or 767) when required.
6. Intellectual Property
All content, branding, logos, and software related to Get RapidShield are the property of Rapid Emergency System. You may not copy, reproduce, distribute, or use any part of the App for commercial purposes without our written consent.
7. Account Suspension or Termination
We reserve the right to suspend or terminate your account if you:
Violate these Terms
Misuse emergency services
Engage in fraudulent or illegal activity via the App
8. Privacy
Your use of the App is also governed by our Privacy Policy, which explains how we collect, store, and use your personal data. You can view the Privacy Policy here or within the App settings.
9. Third-Party Services
The App may integrate with third-party services (e.g., map providers, SMS gateways, emergency vendors). We are not responsible for the availability or performance of these services.
10. Limitation of Liability
To the maximum extent permitted by law, Rapid Emergency System is not liable for:
Any indirect, incidental, or consequential damages
Loss or damage due to reliance on the App during emergencies
Delays in response due to location or technical issues
You use the App at your own risk and responsibility.
11. Governing Law
These Terms are governed by the laws of the Federal Republic of Nigeria. Any disputes shall be subject to the jurisdiction of the courts in Lagos State.
12. Changes to Terms
We may update these Terms from time to time. Continued use of the App after updates means you accept the revised Terms. We will notify users of any significant changes via email or in-app notifications.
